MANSFIELD A local man was arrested Oct. 21 on suspicion of fourth-degree assault after allegedly forcing his way into his fiancee’s home and later smashing her computer.
Jason A. Moore, 33, was booked into the Okanogan County Jail under an agreement between Douglas County and Okanogan County.
Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal said deputies were called at 1 a.m. to the woman’s home in the 100 block of East Second Avenue.
The woman, who was not identified, said Moore, her fiance, was forcing his way in his house, apparently to collect some clothing. When she he began video recording him with her computer, he allegedly became angry, snatched the computer from her hands and smashed it on the floor, Gjesdal said.
The woman said she received several scrapes and contusions while they struggled for the computer.
Moore left the home.
A deputy located him later that morning at his mother’s home, where he was arrested.
