OKANOGAN – An electrical outage under way to repair damage from the recent Okanogan Complex fire will take longer than expected.
The Okanogan County Public Utility District had planned for power to be restored by 2 p.m. to the Methow Valley from Carlton to Mazama, Loup Loup Ski Bowl, Pleasant Valley, Malott, the Chiliwist and south of Malott to Ophir Grade.
Utility officials said power should be back on by 5 p.m.
“This extension is due to unforeseen challenges affecting the repairs caused by the recent fire,” the utility said.
